TEA: Nature, Culture, Society 1650-1850
Linnean Society Conference, June 2022

From the 22nd to the 24th of June 2022, The Chitra Collection is taking part in the Linnean Society of London conference on Tea: Nature, Culture, Society 1650-1850.
We are thrilled to be involved with the conference alongside speakers from some of the top institutions from across the world including Kew Gardens, Queen Mary University, Peabody Essex Museum and Syracuse University to talk about all things tea!
Featuring on Day 2 of the conference, the Chitra Collection will contribute to the discussion of Tea’s Material Cultures between Asia and Europe, alongside The Tea History Collection and Royal Museums Greenwich, as well as research papers presented by their respective authors.
